Originally from Wales, Darryl is married to Milagros and is the father of two children, both of whom attend the school. Darryl began his career as a secondary school teacher in Kenya, but has spent the last nineteen years working in and leading international schools in Kenya, Venezuela and the USA before taking up his current post as Principal in August 2012.

An IB North America workshop leader (Mathematics), academy member and accreditation officer (IB, CIS and AdvancED), Darryl balances his work in education with a passion for rugby; continually trying, and occasionally succeeding, in dispelling the myth that he is too old to play. Darryl speaks English and Spanish.

Having accrued seven years class room practice, she progressed to be part of a whole school senior-management team in a multi-cultural comprehensive secondary school in London catering for 1700 students as an Assistant Head Teacher for over seven years.

Rob was born and raised in Melbourne, Australia, where he graduated from Deakin University with a B.Ed., B.App.Sc. (Hons.), and M.App.Sc. in Leadership. Initially he taught at primary and secondary schools in Melbourne, and then lectured at Tertiary level to B.Ed. students. For the past 14 years Rob has been employed at I.B. World Schools in the British Virgin Islands and the Bahamas, where he has held senior management roles and taught PYP at various year levels. Outside of school, Rob’s interests include travel, photography, Caribbean history and culture, and sport. He particularly enjoys watching the Australian rugby team continue their 40-year dominance over the Welsh.

Susanne was born and raised in Germany. After receiving an honours degree in Primary Education from the University of Greenwich, she worked and lived in various countries, including the UK, US and Norway.

As a passionate IB PYP curriculum coordinator, she has frequented many international school conferences where she bubbled with enthusiasm for anything and everything related to the PYP. Susanne loves to encourage her school community ‘to take action’, especially in the field of environmental conservation and education.When she isn’t busy talking to coordinators and educators across the globe, she can be found in, on or under the water, either swimming, paddle boarding , kayaking or scuba diving. Her favourite Sunday afternoon activity is to organise beach clean ups – watch out for an invitation!

Stephanie Brathwaite is an MYP science and the DP Biology teacher and has been an educator for over twenty five years, with most of that time spent in the private sector. She was first introduced to the “IB way of life” while living in Venezuela where her children attended an IB school there. As a parent and an educator she became fully involved and has been passionate about it ever since.

Carla was born and raised in The Bahamas on Grand Bahama Island. She commenced her PYP teaching career 16 years ago as one of the inaugural teachers at an International Baccalaureate school on Grand Bahama and has spent the majority of her teaching career in the Pre-K and Kindergarten year levels.

Carla has been a passionate advocate for the Primary Years Programme since she was first introduced to it because it capitalizes on children’s natural curiosity towards learning and because it focuses on the development of the whole child. Some of her proudest moments in teaching have been watching former students work their way through the various year levels to graduate with the I.B. Diploma. Carla’s hobbies outside school include soccer, tap dancing, listening to music and traveling. She was fortunate to combine two of those passions when she represented the Bahamian National Soccer Team in international tournaments in the Dominican Republic, Bermuda and the U.S.A.
